Carnivorous plants

I only heard about carnivorous plants but never seen them. my childhood idea of carnivorous plants was; they eat man
After coming to Singapore i first saw them in botanical garden and then seen everywhere; even at florist / plant nurseries.
I am thinking to buy some for home and hoping they will eat mosquitoes. :)

  8. when i was little, i too believed they ate men :)
the belief probably had something to do with being exposed to this : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091419/ :D

there's a beautiful flower shop at our local japanese garden and they sell the prettiest, tiniest carnivorous plants. i'm always tempted to get one, but they're expensive and pixel would probably destroy it in only a matter of seconds

love the second photo with the hanging flowers! the little 10 year old me would never dare go near them : )
